I had so much fun creating Hazel, she is so colorful with her red hair and black and orange costuming. She was created using a wire, styrofoam, wood and plaster cloth armature built up with quilt batting and covered in cotton fabric. Her arms and legs are wired and can be positioned in various poses with care. Her face, hands and feet are free sculpted from paper and polymer clay which is hardened, sanded, gesso'ed, painted with artist acrylics and double sealed with matte varnish.
Hazel has red wool roving hair and is costumed in various fabrics, ribbon, lace, tulle, trim and trinkets to create her unique look. She is a cat loving witch and her dress fabric features some adorable black cats with pumpkins. Her hat was created with artist paper over a chipboard cone and is embellished with various fabrics and trims and finished with a couple cute cats.
